Sorry for the delay.
I’ve spoken with City To Surf Air regarding the unit and they have confirmed the water feed is not clogged. A new compressor is 3K and a new controller is 2K. Complete replacement will require a custom made unit as the location of the water pipes underneath restricts in installation of off the shelf units. I have confirmed that the pipework can’t be modified to suit. The cost of a custom made unit is approx. 10K with a 2-3 month turnaround time.
Sarkis, can you confirm if the lot owner contacted Noppen Air or T&M Air for a 2nd opinion/comparative cost? Thanks

At the regulator tap. As for the controller needing replacement that sounds like rubbish those Honeywell units last for ever. But even if it needed to be the control gear for the units in our building is simple relays. There’s lots of easy replacements around. This all sounds a bit like a backyard operator trying to sell the only aircon he knows how to install. Interested to know if he is a licensed electrician as well. I suspect he’s only got a fridge licence.

Darren could you perhaps get City to Surf to talk / quote to this owner 12k is crazy. It just needs a compressor replacement. It a very normal thing to do for high end HVAC people in commercial environments. Or ask Licensed to chill will also sort them out. The compressor is about $1500 ~ $1800 and should be no more then a days labor.
