Should we wait for Craig’s return? it is only 1 week after the proposed date of the 20th. I will wait to hear your thoughts.

Again, I return to Sydney on May 23 so any date after that for the AGM is great with me. May 29 is fine.

I believe we should find it in our budget to rent the room at the REX, (the same or similar room to what we had last time). Plenty of seating.

And John, you must attend!  I can get you into a taxi or an UBER and travel with you to the REX.  Off Greenknowe Avenue, there is Baroda St which lands you right next to the Kings Cross Community Centre Op Shop and the room where we had the last AGM. Same deal on the return. I hope that assists with your decision John. I will take care of the taxi/UBER.

In the meantime, I hope the meeting or meetings the EC has, leading up to May 29 (if that is to be the confirmed date for the AGM) go well.

I don't think it's practical this time . The AGM could bring a lot of people this year, and the roof may be rain-affected at the proposed time of year. I think the Rex worked very well last time and would be the preferred option if it's available. If Sarah and the room are both available on the 29th and Carigs back and happy with that date I think it's a good option.

Hello all,

Craig has already noted that his return date is later next month.

Whilst I totally sympathise with John I cannot agree with meeting in Marquis, we had this debate last time and ended up at the council room at the Rex. 

A lobby meeting is out of the question.

I am prepared to discuss transport options with John.

Just following up now we have picked the gathering date before the AGM. Can we please advise if the week of the 19th is ok for Sarah for the AGM.  There statutory requirements to notification that require us to act for timing in that week.

Hi All,

We need to provide 14 days' notice for the AGM now, along with 7 days clear notice for postage, this was introduced in the updated Act only last year.

We would need to have the AGM the week of the 19th May, to comply with the notice requirements. I can do any night that week expect for Wednesday (and we do not convene meetings on Friday evenings or weekends).

If the committee can please let me know their preference, I have also received a request from John B to hold the meeting at the building to assist him with attending the meeting.
