The Rex Centre has come back to me (as below) and can offer their Macleay room at $71 per hour, which is a much better option for the AGM.

Unless there any objections I will proceed with booking this in.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your email regarding hire of Rex Centre on 02/08/2023 from 6pm onwards.

The only room available in the Rex Centre is the Macleay Room (Photo attached).

If you would like to make a tentative booking please provide the following:

  *   Please confirm your start and end time because you will only be able to enter the venue at the exact start time of your booking. We will not be able to make any changes to your booking times less than five days out from your booking.
  *   Your ABN/ACN
  *   Your Public Liability Insurance – Certificate of Currency
  *   The best contact person for the date of the event as well as their mobile number should security need to contact them in an emergency.
  *   Please confirm if the mailing address noted in your enquiry is for AscendCorp Strata Pty Ltd.
  *   Confirmation if you are having any third-party businesses' attend on the date such as catering etc. If yes, we will need to see the Public Liability Insurance for each business covering a minimum of $10m each.

Please note that there is no AV system in this venue so you will need to bring your own should you need it.

The cost of your hire will be $71 Per Hour.

Once we have received all the above information, we will then send out a Hire Agreement for signature before proceeding to payment.

Important dates –

  *   Seven days before the start of your booking – Hire Agreement must be signed and returned.
  *   Five days before the start of your booking – No changes can be made to the times of your booking.
  *   Two days before the start of your booking – All payment must have been received. If payment has not been received, then there may not be enough time to program an access code to enter the venue. All outstanding paperwork must also be received by this time.
