To approve a renovation, either to have a general meeting or a strata committee meeting to have it formally approved. It is the procedure from STM to protect the Owners Corporation and the applicant and benefit to both parties to have this minute on the books and records.
Since this is a meeting to be organised for your unit renovation, therefore, the owner will bear the cost of the meeting.
Or you can wait until the next general meeting or strata committee meeting held by the Owners Corporation. The application can be added to the agenda and will not be charging.

This is the third and final time that I will send the current insurance certificates to you. I think the subject heading is quite clear.
At this time I will also query the fee being charged to approve this request, I have never been charged for approval before and I have renovated several bathrooms and laid several floors in different strata’s in the last five years, including The Rex and two in Moore Park Gardens.
