Hi Patrick,

Tony should be able to remove all except 1 cubic metre of soil and some gravel plus the plastic trays. (in the event of 20 plastic pots)

It will be cheaper than any quote so I will presume thats a yes.

Re tiles, theres 3 grey ones there, nothing like the originals but have good grip so any is fine by me.

If anyone has a strong opinion then I agree with them.

Regards,

Ken West

The reason for this change is that the contractor will be painting the lower section walls around the terrace, which was not going to happen initially. The tender/contract specifies render repair only, for a given allowance of 130m2. We discussed onsite that patch repairs to the render will not look good, due to colour variations. Therefore, we have decided to remain within budget, complete render repair to aesthetically damaged areas only, and then use the remaining budget to paint the lower wall sections around the terrace. Removing the soil from the terrace will provide the contractor with access to the walls for painting.

However, this is the nature of the works, where dust can be carried by the wind and land on the balconies below. We recommend the BBQ area with dust be cleaned before re-use.

> Prestech will also be leaving tiles which are the best match to the existing in the gym under the stairs for the SC to review. The SC is required to approve of the tiles to be used on the terraces. Alternatively, the SC can select tile and provide the tiles details for Prestech to source and install.
>
> Please note that the tiles will be best match, given what is currently available in the market. Additionally, once the walls are painted there may initially be a slight colour variation as the old paint would have faded over time. Given the render and paint allowance in the tender/contract, we have tried to work within this to provide the best aesthetic result.
