It just simply needs a tick from the EC via Patrick as long as Australian standard noise insulation is used. You can not nail or bolt it to the slab technically with out a more complex approval and is not usually done in any case. Remember also if your home has the original skirting it will need to be removed to lay floating floor. So you will need to think about if you want it replaced / refitted or the walls patched 

On a personal note watch out for cowboys in this industry. There’s heaps of them.
