[200William-EC SP67851] Petrol fumes in the building

Sorry my statement was not clear. I was suggesting that other sources of the fuel smell be ruled out. I do think it is likely to be anything else other then the Avis tank as their contractors statement about dried fuel does not make sense.
Fuel evaporates it's not instant soup, you can mix it with water and it comes back.
But to build a better case it might be prudent to rule out other sources.

Only other thing I can think of is to go back over the camera footage from the Friday when the smell began and see if there are any outside influence at work. But judging by the amount of fuel that our plumber said he detected it could not be a car leaking. Would need to be someone emptying a Jerry can down the drain. Which i guess is possible and should be ruled out .

They believe it is pure coincidence that the amount of rain we have has created a puddle in the spot in question. When lit up you can actually see the water trickling from the adjacent storage area into the car spot, and they believe there was probably dried petrol from a parked car and when mixed with the rain water it has caused this issue.

Feel free to share with them (if you feel appropriate) that if not, I will personally press the matter rigorously with both AVIS head office and the EPA. I would also insist that that action plan include not just stopping the leaking but also a clean up of the spill that has invaded the B4 basement, particularly mine and Craig's areas.

> Also, I know not my decision alone, but I would be in favour of a strong communication back to the commercial strata that I/we am not willing to entertain any request for drainage, or other cooperation/action until this matter is resolved. While I am sympathetic to AVIS and their water and potential urine problem, i would like to remind them that for the last several days I have had to breath through a towel in the lift, had carcinogenic petrol fumes inside my apartment and petrol pooling in my car spot... and it is continuing to occur. While I am ranting at them I would also request them to fix their lights on top of the building. But of course this is a sample of one and I will leave it to your diplomatic discretion as to how to drive us to the best outcome.
