Following approval of the auction to go ahead there was no mention of compensation and so as far as I am concerned, none will be forthcoming. It's too late to change the details now as we have given them the go ahead to hold the auction. The majority of the EC voted and the yes vote was 8 for, 1 against. It's a one off situation and someone actually mentioned that if this goes off OK perhaps we could lease the space for functions, at a fee. I think that's a great idea. We could put a marquee up there and call the centre Marquee @ Marquis. How cool would that be. It could become the new hot spot for Sydney functions. The A - List of venues. Think of the income!
