[200William-EC SP67851] FW: 200 William Street, Woolloomooloo

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your response.

Because of the infrequency of our meetings, I don’t tend to beat around the bush on matters concerning our building management and business and I’m not really concerned if people agree or disagree with me. I consider it ‘ridiculous’ that we’re bringing in people to hold an auction without some form of payment being made available to us.

Please note Andrew, I have lived in this building for almost 8 years and when my levies jump from $16K to $22K per year, due to what I consider mismanagement within the EC at times (sinking fund for example), I will be vocal about I consider a ‘correct’ thing to do.

I know you’re busy……….so am I…………..I spend a large part of my time volunteering for the Cancer Council in brain cancer support and fundraising. That will not stop me however, from voicing my concern when it comes to certain matters affecting the building.

Best regards,

Craig Laforest

Dear Craig,

>From my point of view I am not inclined to reply to you when you start your message with “ridiculous”. Myself and other members of the EC considered the request for use of the rooftop for an auction and, for whatever reasons, thought that it was fair and reasonable. Therefore they gave their approval with, I assume, the intent that this would be discussed further at the EC meeting. I don’t believe your comments endear you to other members of the EC and consequently I think that they are less likely to take your viewpoint seriously and take the time to respond to you.

Personally, I think that Matt summed it up nicely. Give approval ‘gratis’ on this occasion, monitor how it went, and discuss the possibility of deriving income from this in the future with the real estate agent and at the next EC meeting.

And finally, for what it’s worth, I am busy providing chemotherapy to patients and they take priority. I will answer emails from you when I get the opportunity and when I can deal with them amongst the 100+ I receive each day.

Cheers

Andrew.

I would appreciate it if the members of the EC would kindly respond to my email earlier this week regarding any compensation we should receive for allowing an agent to have an auction on the roof of our building (for those interested in buying an apartment in a different building other than Marquis).

We are charging tenants for the cages in the parking area. Why are we not charging a fee for the use of level 7 for this particular auction?

Hi Rohan

Further to your request, we have a majority approval for you to proceed with the auction. Before you lock anything in, please furnish the EC with the absolute details.

Time of auction

Date

Duration

Arrival of the clients and approximate number

Departure time of the clients

Inspection of area after clients have left

Contact number

We will also ask you to call our designated EC member to let them know you have arrived and again, when the last clients have left. Once you can give us this information we can arrange access for you on the day.

Best of luck

Regards, Rob

Hi Rob,

Hope your well,

I have an upcoming auction of 170 Cathedral Street, Woolloomooloo. It is a completely renovated terrace worth about 1.2 Million.

The owners and I don’t wish to conduct the auction onsite and have been looking for alternative locations.

I was wondering would it be at all possible to conduct this on the right-hand roof top at 200 William Street?

It would be approx. 40 ppl, for 15-30 minutes one Saturday morning.

I thought this could be a great idea as it would showcase the building and the views that is has to offer.

If you could please let me know your thoughts and if it is at all possible.

Best,
