Hi All,
We should go ahead and meet TPG for the site survey. We in fact have
no choice They have served land access under the Telecommunications act.
This will happen weather we want it to or not. It will cost us a bucked
load to try and stop it and we will be unsuccessful.

Overall as with the First path install it's good for the building.
Brings more competition and reduces prices. It's also likely to be
installed faster then First path now as the owner of 601 has delayed
them by quite a while for residential services with the ACMA . I can
explain further at the meeting if anyone likes. However Pipe's attached
documentation is on the accurate.

Things we can get in our favor once pipe present us with a contract are.
  - Make them pay for electricity.
  - Make them pay rent for use of the MDF space.

Personally I am not in favor of either as its marginal space and
electricity and again adds benefits to the building. If you look at it
like this. Foxtel ask that you pay for the infrastructure in the
building and provide only a few channels in a monopoly environment.
People like TPG and Pipe do it for free and give you the entire internet.

As a disclaimer I am affiliated with First Path as my company is a
wholesaler I am also affiliated with Pipe Networks as my company is a
wholesaler. However Pipe Networks will only grant use of this fiber in
this case to TPG Telecom (who own Pipe Networks BTW) So i in fact have
a conflict of interested in that it's in my interest to have First path
in the building and not Pipe/TPG. Never the less they should both go ahead.

It's also incorrect to say that once Pipe/TPG have installed you must go
to Pipe/TPG this is totally incorrect. You can still stay on Telstra
dialup or Telix if you want. No one is forcing anyone to go to any
carrier. It's just giving us more options.

Matt.
