Hi Craig,

We are just finalising the audit for the building and I will be able to get the agenda out next week once I have received the audit back.  I will confirm a date with all EC next week.

In relation to the levy for the BMC we need to ensure that the budget for the BMC is correct so the owners corporation is charged the correct levies.  I will ensure this is done prior to the notice going out next week.

Rob,

I can’t contain my laughter. I also had to leave a wonderful toasted baguette with ham and cheese in it, to make it on time to last year’s AGM meeting.

We shouldn’t worry about who didn’t turn up, who forgot etc.  That may have been what you thought happened last year. We as members of the EC must take our position seriously.

Rob – the AGM was scheduled for May13 and it’s simply not acceptable “at the 11th hour” to be informed of its cancellation, not to mention the fact that no agenda was sent out in advance (is there a hidden agenda perhaps to all of this?).

Maxine – please get the AGM notice out ASAP and let’s get the managing of Marquis back into order immediately.

Hi all, watching this email chain with interest.

I am not so sure we should be taking out the frustration on Maxine, it is misplaced. Personally I think Maxine is doing a great job for both the BMC and the Owners side.

I think it appropriate to mention last years AGM and the situation around that relating to some of the EC who were unable to attend, the meeting was delayed for a length of time on that evening to allow for those of us who "completely forgot" even though notices were sent out, agenda was provided, majority turned up. Quite a few of us were inconvenienced that evening as well, if not for a number of phone calls and the patience of the majority of those who turned up on time, including Maxine the meeting would not have gone ahead. So we're all human and none of us are perfect.

Moving forward, Maxine, could you please advise what date is in mind, let's all constructively agree, have the meeting and go forward from there.

I totally agree with Craig; it's outrageous that we are only now advised of the AGM's cancellation. Surely the EC sets the date of the AGM, not you. You should have given us due notice. Because of the AGM on Monday 13th, I cancelled something I wanted to do in Victoria and planned to drive 9 hours back in order to to be here to attend. I can't change that cancellation now. This lack of communication is most inconvenient. Craig has been asking you continuously for an agenda for the meeting and instead of warning him that you had a problem with the date, you just let it slide until now.

When you state “we have had to reschedule the AGM”……….who is the “we” you refer to?  Why is the meeting being rescheduled and why weren’t the EC and other owners who wanted to attend the meeting advised earlier? Did you do this? We’re only 4 days away!
