Ideally. Water/flood detection and alerting should be implemented in 
plant rooms and sumps as a mater of best practice. There are some 
cheaper ones these days that are self contained and have a mobile SIM 
card in them. They send a sms message if flooding is detected and dont 
require a full Building management system. I can get some quotes if 
people are interested.
