Good Afternoon All,

Matt triggered my memory back to 2011 where the same issue was raised
and addressed with Council.

C3.6 refers to Fire Sliding doors. The balcony sliding doors operate in
the event of a fire however are not fire doors. Council appear to have
some understanding that there is a type of fire activated door but not
exactly what. This appears to be somewhat misconstrued which may appear
in the Owners Corporation's favour.

Today I have again raised this in correspondence to Council which should
put this to bed.

If they firmly believe that there is a type of sliding Fire door then
they may impose a Fire Order. 

The main thing is that the doors on the balcony have been tested which
ensures the safety of all residents.

Good Afternoon Diane,

Please see attached the correspondence between you and I dated back to
2011. The testing and inspection measure for the Warning and Operational
signs remain unchanged and will continue to be tested and inspected
under E3.3.

Please note that the building is not equipped with sliding fire doors.

I have corrected the other measures which you have raised with Statement
attached.

I hope this will settle this matter.
