Hi George

 

Thanks for the notification. I would be fine to consider a more appropriate
sign that is in line with the fire signage throughout the rest of the
building. I've taken a photo of the sign on the fire on the exit and it's
attached.

 

If we could place this a wall just next to the sliding door on the balcony
would this meet the fire requirement?

Good Afternoon All,

 

The north Facing apartments shown below have an automatic sliding door which
activates (closes) when the fire alarm activates. The reason only the North
facing sliding doors are equipped with this is due to AVIS's on site fuel
situation. 

 

As part of the fire safety statement Council has picked up that measure C3.6
is required to be certified and have given us until the 14.4.13. What is
required is a sign to be "displayed at both sides of the door entry". This
is to remind residents that the door may shut at anytime (fire alarm
activation) 

 

In most cases the kitchen backs on to the sliding door and will be
impossible to have it close to the door. I have suggested to place on each
side of glass to each door.

 

Your thoughts please. The signs need to be up by the 14th of this month.
Therefore require a agreement by Wednesday this week.

Since council is only request for fire safety measure - Warning Operational
Signs we only need to install sign that complies to C3.6

background.

 

 

Are these signs installed on site? If so can you take a photo then I can
certify the signs.  If not we need to install them.

Costs per sign around $120+GST minimum amount to be charged $200+GST
