I Agree,
The emails have become overwhelming and over-discussed.
Following on from the discussion at the AGM on the requirement
for STRATA
TITLE
to attend all these bi-monthly meetings, I personally don't
think this is
necessary due to the additional cost for attendance at each
meeting and
that it
is likely we will be discussing management issues and not strata
related
issues.
Can this please be assessed.

Hi Folks:
As we can all see, over the past week there have been numerous
emails
going back and forth on matters pertaining to the building. The
pleasing thing about it all is the interest everyone is taking
in the
maintenance of the building which in the long-run is good for
all of
us. And especially pleasing to see the new guys in Barney,
Rowan, Matt
getting involved.
However, in my opinion, doing everything by email and jobs
randomly is
very inefficient. And probably making it a bit more expensive.
And
doesn't help George to keep on top of it all.
So my suggestion.
Why don't we schedule in an EC meeting every 2 months instead of
the 3
times we have now. What we could do is keep a list of the
matters that
need attending too ( like an agenda ) and then come together and
discuss face to face. As I said before, it's great every one is
involved, it's great every one has an opinion. I think it would
be
good for all of us to discuss. I would be happy to be the person
that
has matters and suggestions sent to and compile the agenda for
each
meeting. The meeting would not have to take more than an hour
each
time, if that. And of course there would be times when all 9 of
us
can't get together. That's to be expected. And that's OK. But we
can
get things done probably a lot quicker and much more
efficiently. But
it would stop the endless emails ( and avoid emails being
misconstrued
by their tone ). There would be times when emergency matters
have to
be dealt with right away and by having a bi monthly meeting
would
actually facilitate better.
What does everyone think? YES or NO.
If you agree, I will set the dates, get everyone's agreement and
voila! I would even send out a note before 1 week before each
meeting
as a reminder and ask for any matters to go on agenda
Regards
ROB WILLETT
