Hi All,
I have sent the following to Arnold.

---
Hi Arnold,
Happy Friday. Over the last few weeks at 200 William, there have been a number of security incidents in the building. We had a domestic occurrence as well as some malicious damage to common property, but perhaps of most concern was a mass break-in to 5 apartments with multiple items stolen. When the detectives were on site, they noted that a number of the cameras in the building were dummy cameras and did not record any useful video.

The Residential SC requested a quote to replace the dummy cameras with working ones and install associated cable and equipment. We received two quotes, with the best being from the incumbent security provider (attached). We asked for all the dummies to be replaced with operational cameras, including the lifts. However, after investigating the cost of lift cabling, we found that those cameras were not practically fundable given the benefit. The Residential OC has since voted to approve the upgrade, excluding the lift cameras. However, as building security is a BMC item, I am seeking your permission to progress the install.

I think there is value in the upgrade for the commercial strata as well. The glass awning at the front of Pack and Send has been smashed by trucks a number of times, and typically they drive off leaving our insurance to pay the bill. One of the dummy upgrades should capture any damage to the building in that area.

The quote is $5860 with the commercial's share being $1172.
