Hi Craig,
Newlife will quote on full building works when they are up on ropes.
This will help define a scope we can use to source other quotes.

Hi Kylie,
Perhaps that was how it was left, however, I think we need to have the AGM asap, now that our financial year is over - and bring the start date forward for the major repairs. We have been told that the cladding repairs may not happen until mid May (another delay from the March 31 date we all thought). We could have the AGM locked in for early June if we can all agree.
I will be away April 10 through May 23. As I mentioned, the discussions I hear about our building damage on the outside are very disconcerting. People are avoiding our building to buy into, not only because of high levies, but now, because of the repairs. Would other members of the EC please provide their answer to this AGM/repair situation. Thank you.
Best regards,
Craig

Hi Craig
I thought we were addressing all of these issues at our next AGM so we could start planning/agreeing on the Stage 2 quotes from the companies we have?
I’m in agreeance we need to get started on the additional works as soon as the cladding is finished.
Warm Regards,
Kylie

Hello EC members,
I’m following up on the email below. I haven’t heard back from anyone, other than John.
It’s important we protect the owners of the building to ensure we are not just dismissing the problems we are facing with the rust and concrete cracking. The discussion has been going on far too long and you must ask yourself what is the incentive to live in this building (if you’re looking to buy) when the word ‘out there’ is that we have major building issues? I’ve heard it from many people.
Please see my email below again and let me know.
Thank you and regards,
Craig

Good afternoon,
I had a walk through of some of the building’s areas on the weekend and I noticed there is a much greater development of rust and concrete cracking than several months ago. I think it’s a priority to get our building fixed/repaired as soon as possible.
If the rust and concrete cracking continue to vigorously extend their damage to our building, we’re going to be up for extra charges from the contractor who makes the repairs. It will be obvious to the contractors we asked to provide quotes that the amount of rust and concrete cracking has increased significantly.
Thoughts from other EC members please.
Cheers,
Craig
