Hi Craig,
You would not receive any notification. Lifts are BMC. The BMC was informed when it was done years back.  Comparing the lifts in our tiny building is not really the same as Elan. It's a much bigger building with lift motor rooms and 8 lifts over 40 floors. Sure, the fans are a little loud, but they do not affect anyone's peace and enjoyment of their lot as far as I'm aware. I don't believe there is any reason for the BMC to consider spending money on new fans just so it's quiet in the lifts. How long do you spend in them? I don't believe it's time to waste money on this, but if the committee thinks it is the an issue, it should be raised with the BMC.

Greg will not be acting on your demands, Craig. As you will note in the SMS, lifts are BMC. If the committee wants me to raise it with Arnold and get quotes, I await the groups instructions.
