Hi all,

Just to give you an update.

Scope of works

The scope for urgency and quoting is broken down as follows:

Immediate - cladding removal

  *
Remove all flammable cladding from building by End of March 2025
  *
Works to be undertaken by cheapest and easiest method
  *
Facade underneath to be inspected for waterproofing. Make waterproof and safe.

2025 - facade remediation

  *
All government DAs and administration costs
  *
Tile removal and replace with render
  *
Cracking, spalling, render repair
  *
Level 7 East rooftop replacement
  *
Replace any balcony that requires replacement for waterproofing
  *
Painting of building

Please see below the five companies we identified to engage with for the facade remediation works.

Buildcorp

  *
Email sent requesting formal quote for works above

Canopy Constructions

  *
Matt G met with Nicholas on site on Monday. He knows the building and is happy to quote on cladding removal and major works.
  *
The first thing Nicholas raised was "you should build more apartments on the roof and use the sale to fund all of the works". This is something I think we should explore.

Up / Down access

  *
Greg has spoken to contractor. Awaiting quote.

Paynter Dixon

  *
Waiting on callback

Diagnostech

  *
Diagnostech are a engineering project management company, not a builder. They will do the same function as MJ Engineering, creating a scope and then sourcing quotes.
  *
Email sent advising of scope and previous experience with MJ Engineering.
  *
Asked to advise on how they can assist.

I have also reached out to ARA, who were the cheapest in the MJ Engineering tender, for a comparison quote. Given they know the building, I am hoping we can turn this around fairly quickly.

ARA

  *
Email sent requesting information.

Regards,

Matt G
