Hello everyone,

After reviewing all the responses, this Wednesday Nov01, myself, Kylie, Paul and John are available. Let’s meet in the lobby on E level at 530pm. To discuss:

1.	Complete CCTV coverage in all areas of the building and along McEvoy Street where the intruders have scaled the building on at least 2 occurrences I know of, and where Kylie lives, and the tenant/owner next to her. A new camera must be installed facing McEvoy Street.
2.	Re the elevators – I believe most of us agree these should not be dummy cameras – we must have these working. We must be able to follow anyone’s movements throughout the building, so that if an incident occurs, we have the complete footage.
3.	Privacy vs action against incidents/break and entry. As happened the weekend before last, my terrace sliding door was unlocked and the alarm in my home went off as the culprit stepped inside. I want any incident like this recorded, even on the terrace. Again, it’s critical to have complete footage of anyone trying to break in or for any other incident.

I look forward to seeing Kylie, Paul and John on Wednesday at 530pm.

Best regards,

Craig

Hi Kylie,
I would be in favour of changing most of the dummys with the exception to perhaps the ones in the lifts. Last time i investigated lift cameras they were extremely expensive as specialised lift people were needed to run cable in the lift shafts. It was in the range of $15k There may be other wireless options these days so we could investigate again. If there is a cost effective way to do it again i would be in favour. I would not be prepared to pay $15k for lift cameras.

I would also object to any camera that looked into someones private area. But im not aware of any dummy's that might point onto a balcony for instance. Other then that if it's cost effictive I would be happy for it to go ahead.

I would not support the removal of any existing cameras. That's pretty much everything you need to know about my position. Sorry I cant do Wednesday or Thursday as I have commitments I cant move on those evenings and next week im not in Sydney.

Warm Regards
Matt.

Hi all

I’m unavailable tomorrow night but if you all meet tomorrow night my input is that we definitely need to replace dummy cameras.

Otherwise I’m available on Wednesday and Thursday 5:30pm this week or Monday and Tuesday next week.

Warm Regards,

Kylie

 Matt,

Tomorrow afternoon is fine with me if locked in tonight.

My thoughts are that we need to discuss where we need additional cameras and certainly to replace any dummy cameras with real ones.

Maybe Sarah can advise the liability issues attached to housing dummy cameras.

All this needs discussion, not to and fro texts.

Regards

Paul

I should be ok any afternoon on or after 13th if your sort of talking 5.30 - 6. Given that i will need to submit it to the BMC for approval there's not much going to happen if im not there. In a pinch i might be able to do a quick meeting tomorrow afternoon at 5.30 But it's inconvenient to say the least.

It would help if you let me know what your thinking. For example are you thinking we make those fake/dummy camera's real. That way I can get ahead of the meeting and get a quotes organised.

Arnold is not going to agree to a blank cheque. We need quotes and a plan which i will need to organise but i need to know what your thinking.

Paul,

Please reread Matt’s email. He’s not available until after the 13th, when he returns. Matt, would you like to pass a proxy vote to one of us if we can sort out a meeting this week as I know you’re busy.

Cheers

I think we should proceed with available members this week and then plan for a full meeting once Matt G is back and Matt P is available.

In this instance I think we need to act promptly, particularly with the Christmas period almost upon us when nothing gets done.

Regards

P

Hi all,

I’m sure a simple error and Craig means ECM , executive committee meeting.

I’m all for a meeting ASAP and not waiting for engineers report, nothing to stop us meeting again once we have that report.

At the moment I’m available early evening ( usually best time for those that work) any night this week.

Regards

Hello everyone,

I would like us to hold an EGM asap in view of the recent problems we’ve had in Marquis:

1.	We must ensure that all CCTV cameras are working in and around the building.
2.	Provide extra security cameras where needed. For example, down the side of McEvoy street.
3.	We’ve started to improve the look of the building in various areas. Once an engineer has provided his/her report for the building’s exterior (I’ll request from Sarah that the report is completed asap) a separate EGM will take place to discuss what works and costs there will be.

For the first meeting, I suggest we walk through the building together to see the damage - points 1 and 2.

Kindly advise a couple of days/times when you are available to meet and I’ll lock one in.

Thank you and best regards,

Craig
