Hi Kylie and everyone,
Thank you firstly for that information Kylie and I’m glad you weren’t nearby when this happened.
What we must do in situations like this is not guess who the people are who are involved in such matters. We have the CCTV cameras for a reason and we must immediately view the footage, even if there is an extra charge for someone to come out to do it.
We’ve had issues in the past prior to the cameras being put in the building, and now that we have them it’s important to have security for all in the building. Again, we don’t know if there was more than one incident/argument and it could continue into another day/evening. Other owners/tenants in the building were not involved in meeting the culprit/s at the time it appears, but we can’t just wait until weekends are over before we know who is/are involved.
Thanks again Kylie.
Cheers

Hi all
I just on the rooftop before talking to one of the tenants on level 2. She told me that Friday week ago the police were called to a domestic on level 1 overlooking McElhone st - the guy had locked his boyfriend out of the building and the guy who was locked out was hurling abuse and throwing things up onto their balcony from McElhone st.
The police arrived and talked to both of them.
I wonder if the incident from Friday night just gone (where lifts were vandalised) could be related to this incident? I wanted to let you all know as I think it’s important to understand if police are called for any reason into our building. It will be great to get that CCTV footage.
Warm Regards,
Kylie

Had this conversation with Matt earlier, best we arrange a committee meeting ASAP.
Engineer coming Wednesday, I think, so perhaps as soon as convenient after that .

Hi all,
I think it’s times like this where we should act on these matters, and have someone come immediately, to check the video. We don’t know if/how this may escalate in any way with the people involved and we can’t put anyone in the building at risk.
Best wishes,
Craig

We could ask them to check it straight away, but that would incur a cost im not sure if 48 hours would make a lot of difference in this case. If the case were more urgent we could ask William to come in after his normal hours. The police report i think in this case is more about our insurance claim.
Warm regards
Matt

It’s a shame that in an emergency management don’t have a plan to check CCTV without waiting for 48-36 hrs. It will be interesting to see if we get a positive id from this, fingers crossed 🤞
Thank you for the time and effort put in Matt.

Hi All,
Just a quick security update. With some developments overnight. It seems that there was some sort of domestic altercation last night on level 1 which may or may not be related to some vandalism of the building.
The lift buttons and wall were damaged on G. The Garbage room door was damaged and lift car number one was damaged and rendered inoperable.
Police visited today and spoke to William on the phone. William is coming back Monday to get them CCTV so they can investigate. The lift people have been and fixed the lift car 1 and returned it to service. I will make sure Sarah is contacted Monday regarding an insurance claim.
Thanks all
Matt.
