Hi All,

The BMC has been advised that Lifttronic will no longer perform maintenance on our lifts until they are upgraded to the latest safety standards. These standards do not affect passengers in the lifts, which are safe, but only the workers that need to work on them. They include things like guardrails on the lift shafts and barriers over pits and things.

The BMC has received multiple quotes, and the best quote is from the incumbent around $15k, with the highest being $23k. Arnold has not agreed as yet, but he will need to as we will not be able to get a lift safety certificate without the upgrades, and even things like the broken lights in the lifts will now no longer be fixed.

I don't see a way to avoid this expense. So will need to vote for the upgrade in the BMC in the affirmative. According to the SMS, we will pay 95% of the quote and the commercial 5%.

To reiterate, this does not affect the safety of people riding in the lifts. Only the workers in the lift shafts.

Warm Regards,
matt
