I wasn’t expecting the building to pay for an evacuation plan. I originally enquired about one for my own apartment on level 4.

Hi Craig,
 I dont think the building should be paying for an evacuation plan that is only a requirement of hosts for short term rentals. (ie Air B&B)  I think owners that want to rent their property's in that manner should pay for their own plans. 

To be clear. NSW law only requires evacuation plans for short term rentals.

Yes please. It is a law that everyone who has tenants must follow the guidelines and one of them is to have an evacuation layout on the back of the apartment’s front door.
