Hi All/Paul,

I had a look at the lights outside where the William street doors are.
They look to be a couple of 90's type compact fluorescent fittings that
are mounted on the end of a cylinder. What are you suggesting to change
them out for a modern LED fitting perhaps. They look to be quite big
fittings around 220mm without getting up and measuring them. Those
fittings are not very popular these days.

It's worth bearing in bind that the typical reason for electricians  to
mount fittings on long cylinders like that is because there is not
enough space in the  cavity to mount them. So we might need to
investigate how much space (if any)  between the fibro and the slab
before we decide what to change them out for. You may be stuck with that
elongated mount idea although you can get led fittings that are much
thinner and the standoff mount would be smaller.

What do you suggest can you send some pictures ?

Matt
