Hi All,

  I have just gone through and had a good look at the grants process.  
It looks like we might have to wait until the next round. One of the 
requirements is we need up to date finical statements for the scheme. 
Which is very unlikely we can organize with STM given the time frame.  
The other criteria look good long term but we would need to be working 
to ward a building energy rating which we can do. But we would need the 
help of an energy consultant. Once we have all of that we can apply to 
council.  I have asked the energy consultant to renew their quote and 
they can do the required certificates we need to then qualify for the 
grant. Unfortunately it's not a simple matter of getting a quote from a 
sparky.

The last quote we got was in 2018 and was around $8k  Given today's 
prices it's likely be more like $15k which still fits within the grant. 
We can also then apply the year after for a second grant of $5k if we 
want to do more work.

I wish we knew about this 3 months ago we might have been able to do it 
in time.  You might be interested to know that Ascend has organized a 
grant for the commercial building I have a stake in. If only we had 
decent strata mangers.  I have included the application form so you can 
get an idea of what details we need to work toward for next year.
