Thank you, Sarah. This is a wonderful piece of information.
It’s been a problem for many years with people abusing the visitor car spaces and not using parking stations, outside the building. It has usually been a tenant (and the odd owner) who doesn’t have a parking space for his/her car.
I can make Darren aware of cars which are misusing the visitor’s parking space rules and Darren can put, on the car owner’s windshield, some form of notice. Would you please provide myself and Darren with the wording for that notice.
Would you suggest also that we contact the agent, who has the tenant on a lease? Are we able (legally) to be provided with the name of the agency which is leasing each apartment in Marquis? That would help enormously.
Apologies for these innocuous questions, however, we must solve this problem!

I can confirm that it is illegal to clamp vehicles (as much as it would be easier to).
You are better off having a by-law whereby if the resident breaches a by-law and we issue them a by-law breach notice from our office, we pass on the cost to that resident for us to do so. That never goes down well and they usually don’t do it again. We refer to it as a ‘fine’ and it gets added on to the lot owners account which means if it is a tenant, they have the landlord to answer to.
I received a phone message from reception late this afternoon that the occupant of Unit 104 tried to call me, and I can only assume it is regarding the breach notice I issued him yesterday, I will give him a call in the morning and keep you updated.

We state in the BFMS notice boards in each of the elevators that we will clamp visitor cars which go over the 24 hour period. The car in the picture (apparently you have said it is from apartment 104) has been abusing this rule, constantly.
I would like you to please first put a notice on such vehicles warning them that their car will be clamped if its not permanently removed. If its not removed, we clamp the car.
It's simply not fair on all other tenants/owners who don't have a car space that one person keeps abusing the rules we have agreed upon.
