Hello all,

The western rooftop terrace works have begun, and Edyco Building have advised that if we require insultation installed under the tiling that he will need to charge an additional $16,300 + GST to do the rooftop and Apt 103. Edyco insist that they have never heard of using insulation for these types of jobs and that the warranty period will reduce from 15 years to a standard 6 years. Edyco have agreed to walk away from the project at no cost if required.

Insulation installed on terraces which are above apartments are essential to control noise and temperature issues. From my experience, this is a standard practice which should not be dismissed as it will cause issues down the track.

I approached CBK Waterproofing to inspect the works and they have come back with a quote almost double Edyco proposal. We have reached out to Ivision Contraction for another quotation as they have done excellent work for our company in the past. I will provide an update ASAP.
