Good morning All, 

There really isn't too much information online or guidance with regards to circumstances for residential buildings with facilities such as indoor gyms etc. 

The main directive for a residential strata scheme that is outlined on the NSW Health website is that masks are to be worn within all internal parts of common property. 

There was also a directive from Dr Kerry Chant a couple of months ago that requested Owners Corporations to leave their gyms and indoor facilities closed until further notice. But that was before the change in Premier and not enforceable as the instructions were not included within the public health orders. 

The building should already have a QR Code displayed at the entrances, but that is for non-residents usage. As such, you could provide that same QR Code at the entrance of the gym for all usage, however, that will not assist with the vaccinated vs unvaccinated usage or differentiate between general admission to the building, and usage of the gym.

  Yes i think that's the idea we just trust everyone. We dont have a concierge to monitor it. I guess we could get people to declare their vaccination status to Darren and then he add's access to their card. But that's extra work (expense ? ) for Darren and it's likely only valid  to
December before it's a free for all.   The law as not been tested here
so it's uncertain if we have an obligation to enforce it.  I think if there is any sort of question over trust we should just keep it closed until the rules change.  It does not hurt us to keep it closed but there is some risk in opening up.

On a personal note I think the gym does little to ad value to the building. It's so small and under equipped i doubt it's a feature in anyone's decision to invest and it costs us more money in time cleaning
and maintenance then it's worth in my opinion.   But then as you all
know by my appearance im no gym junky. So I will leave it to people that are more into that sort of thing.  Im happy to go with the consensus.
