Hi Brook,

AFSS stands for Annual Fire Safety Statement, which is submitted to Council on an annual basis.

IFS will take over as the new fire service contractor once the AFSS has been submitted to Council for 2019.

 Attached is a quote from Tom from IFS for the proposed fire works. Tom has a small family business.  His company has been working on a heritage  strata building of which i am an owner in the city. He has worked fire services in that building for many years and  I have never had cause to question his work.
I would like to put it forward to the BMC for the fire work in the building. The incumbent i believe has taken advantage of the on going relationship which we have seen time and again with over priced quotes always at the last minute when it's very hard to change our mind. I note that they are putting up the fire certification this year and have again  neglected to test the balcony door closer on the north side. This was always done in parallel with the smoke detectors and will again cause more cost.

Please let me know if you have any objections .
