Please see the email sent to the BMC Representatives theis morning explain the attached quotes and why Matt, STM and the BMC only received these so late -
Hi Matt & Ben,
See attached 2 quotes and the reports based on the inspection by Newsound Fire Protection.
Darren, Megan, STM's Fire Compliance Officer and I have been working with New Sound Fir Services to provide the attached report and quote after their inspection on 109.03.2019. Newsound Fire Services only provided the report on the 09.04.2019, a day before the AFSS was due. To say the least, Darren and I are not happy with Newsound Fire Services as this has left the property with not many options but to accept their quote.
Darren was able to obtain the comparative quote from Control Fire Protection within a few days of receiving Newsound Fire Services attached report.
Megan has also been able to obtain an extension to submit the AFSS to Friday 26th April 2019.
Darren and I agree that Newsound Fire Protection should not be used once they complete the AFSS and we submit on behalf of the property.
In any case, of you are obtaining quotes can you please do this urgently so a decision can be made early next week at the latest?
Please note that all parties are working to have this matter resolved prior to the deadline.

Hi All,
Patrick just sent this to me to be voted on in the BMC. It's the first it's been mentioned to me and as it's a substantial amount I wanted support of the comity before I voted with Andrew. It seems for some reason that im not aware of the fire inspection this year has found around ~15k of defects. (attached bellow) Quotes are for rectification ahead of the annual fire certification. I have asked Patrick how this will effect the BMC budget just waiting feedback on that.

Dear BMC Representatives,
See attached the 2 quotes for the fire seal repairs which are based on the recent report by Newsound Fire Services.
Darren obtained a comparative quote from Control Fire Protection.
As per Darren's comments below and his recommendation, can you please advise if agree to proceed with Control Fire Protection's fire seal quote of $16,490.00 + GST?
Please confirm agreement by the end of this week as the AFSS is due to be submitted to City of Sydney Council by the end of next week?

Hi Megan/Patrick,
We have received the quotation from Control Fire for the fire sealing works. You will notice that Newsound have opted not to quote on 6 of their reported items. Control Fire have provided a quotation to address every item and can provide written certification for the reported works.
Summary
Newsound Fire - $15,171.00 + GST - Excludes items 6, 7, 15, 17, 58 & 61
Control Fire Protection - $16,940.00 + GST
I understand Control Fire's quotation is more than we were expecting but the items Newsound have opted out of are the more costly to rectify. Quotations and report attached for reference.
