While I understand this request was rejected at the AGM due to the fact that the Common Property Memorandum was resolved and the responsibility of the waterproofing and tiling in the bathroom areas was passed onto the Owner, I believe that as Unit 101’s matter was raised well before the resolution at the meeting, earlier this year, it would be fair to agree to pay the costs as per the recommended quote from the attached.

I have spoken to the owner and while Katherine would like to undertake additional renovations to her bathroom which would be at Katherine’s expense and would require a Major renovation application and By Law.

I would recommend the Committee agreeing to pay towards the renovation for the Owner of Unit 101 $6,303.00 + GST as per Darren’s recommendation of JR Build Pty Ltd and the owner then taking responsibility for the works as per a Major Renovations By Law. The only reason behind this is the owner may be able to argue that the matter was raised prior to the passing of the responsibility through the Common Property Memorandum.

Please confirm if you agree with the above recommendation and I will advise the Owner of unit 101?
