Dear Committee,
See below details from Tanaz of Strat Engineering Solutions about a
variation for additional labour hours based on the work carried out by the
contractor that removed the rest of the soil from the rooftop. See attached
images of the state of the rooftop on Monday 12th March 2018.
1
Tilers cost 2 men x 8 hrs @ $90 / hr
$1,440.00
2
Membrane Applicators cost 1 man x 8 hrs @ $90 / hr
$ 720.00
3
Material Handling cost 2 men x 4 hrs @ $72 / hr
$ 576.00
*Total not inc GST*
*$2,736.00*
Attached is the invoice for the removal of this soil.
Can you advise if you are happy for me to pay in full or would you like to
deduct some of the below costs form the attached invoice?
Please also note that Preservation Technologies will not know if the damage
to the insulation, means that addition insulation is required as they may
have enough insulation to finish the project. If a further variation is
required I will advise the Committee and seek approval.
Kind regards,
*Patrick Rush*

Hi Patrick,
The insulation was also damaged onsite during the soil removal. Prestech
currently presume there will be enough insulation to finish the works, but
we will only find out once the insulation is installed. If they run short
they will require to order more, which would be a variation to the SC to
replace the insulation which was broken during the soil removal.
The variation as a result of the soil removal and associated delays are
only for labour affected during the day.
There are no other variations at this point.
Regards,
Tanaz
