[200William-EC SP67851] SP 67851 - Update on Level 7 Rectification of Podium & Planter Boxes (Request to Meet with Builder)

Dear Committee,

I believe it best if possible, that we organise a meeting with the builders to then discuss further how to resolve the planter box matter.

See attached the site meeting minutes from last week between the builder, Preservation Technologies and Strata Engineering Solutions.

I propose a meeting between Preservation Technologies, Strata Engineering Solutions, any Committee Members that can attend and I on either Thursday or Friday during business hours to discuss what has to be decided, particularly with the BBQ area and the services in the planter box, such as hydraulic and electrical cabling for the pumps so that a discussion can be made on these items to not stall the work again.

Can you please advise if this is possible so that this matter can be resolved and work carried out as required?

Brooke, I apologise if this is very late notice and understand if you cannot attend.

I would also ask that only Committee Members be included on this meeting and future emails.

After this meeting a further informal meeting can be organised to discuss options with the planter box, noting that any change to the use of the planter boxes will require a special resolution at a General Meeting, with a decision not being able to made over email or at a Committee meeting for any change of use for the planter box, including covering these and not replanting in the planter box!

I am available on any night next week.

I will this week try and find an organization to provide a quote on covering the planter boxes for both sides of level 7.  It's absurd to do half of the building.  The issue is maintaining 100% low costs by keeping plants and soil out of the planter boxes and checking on whether or not the membrane is holding (at any time), if there is a future leak.

Its good to keep this moving Craig.

The week after Feb 5 works for me. I am out of town because of the works in the roof.

It would appear that using large plastic, easy removable pots with water catchment bases is the way to go.

I can get together a rough budget for pots, plants, modified irrigation system and labour.

Craig, would you like to get an estimate for securely covering your side so we can make informed decisions.

Would Wednesday Feb 7th at 6.30pm - on the roof work for everyone for a meeting ??
