Hi Robin,

See the below response from the Body Corporate Brokers in relation to the reason behind the recommendation for SCI to insure the property for the coming 12 months –

“Over the past few months I have experienced a better Underwriting service from SCI. The claims team has also been experiencing a much more efficient claims service from SCI as well.

This along with the more competitive Premium makes up the Recommendation to move cover.”

Did they say why they recommend SCI? Noting that they are not the cheapest?

Please see attached the Schedule 2 Strata Committee Meeting for the 30/11/2017 for the insurance renewal for the building which is due by the 01/12/2017.

This requires you to review the documentation sent to you by Body Corporate Brokers and to fill out the proxy form and send back to me via email on your decision as to which insurance company you would like to proceed with. If you are unable to fill out the proxy form, please just email me back with your choice of insurer.

Last year the property was insured by Longitude Insurance Pty Ltd..

Body Corporate Brokers recommends placing cover with Strata Community Insurance for the upcoming period, which ends with a saving of $4,000.00 overall form last years insurance premium.

Your BMC Representative will advise on which insurer the BMC chooses as all Strata Plans for this site will need to fall in line with this decision. See attached the BMC Agenda for the same day at the same time.

Darren, could you please place a copy of the front page of the agenda on the notice board or somewhere in the main foyer as per the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015.

Please make sure to email me with either the form or an email confirming the insurer you would like to proceed with for the next 12 months by 10:00am on the 30/11/2017.
