Subject: Marquis SP67851 | 200 William St Police Incident For BMC Shop no.2

Good afternoon Patrick,

Please be advised that Darren Vignes the Building Manager is currently away on annual leave from today until next week, Thursday 27th April. While Darren is away all phone calls and emails will be received and handled by me.

As discussed earlier today, at approximately 11.00 am this morning, we received a phone call from Kings Cross Police advising that they were on site at Marquis, 200 William Street.

Police informed me that someone had placed quantity of canabis plants inside retail shop no.2 and some propaganda poster material internally and some signage. The constable advised that they required immediate access due to the alleged incident, or would need to obtain an urgent search warrant to gain access.

As I was nearby in Alexnderia, I informed the constable that BFMS only manage the residential strata plan and that the BMC was managed by a different company, however we advised police that we would immediately travel to site to assist and also notify your office.

I arrived to site at 11.30am and noticed that media and police were outside shop no.2 on William Street. The police informed me that they had made contact with the managing agent of shop no.2 since phoning me and that the agents would facilitate key access for the police. Apparently the agent advised police that the shop had been leased by students with the intent of doing an art installation but had conducted a publicity stunt.

The matter is currently being investigated by police and the plants and poster will be removed. I check on the status when I visit the site again this afternoon.

Could you please inform the Strata Committee representative of these events and if you require BFMS to do anything, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Tony Mangraviti
