Hi All,
I have received the following correspondence and have replied to the
owner of 601. I have been in contact with George Ziri throughout the
day regarding it. I am posting it all now to keep you up to date It's
quite a long thread so have put it in one email as to not take up to
much of everyone's time. Start from the bottom and read up :)
He has also made a few calls to my voice line which I have not answered.
I would rather correspondence be in email so there is a record. Please
speak up if any of you would like me to Handel anything differently.
Matt.

Hi Craig,
Daniel Sharp the HVAC engineer said he had visited your place a few
years back and was aware of the problem. He was confident that the
feeling in your apartment was being generated from the vibration and
harmonics from the plant room. I have queried it with him today to see
how the work is progressing and he informs me that they should have
finished the work to the damp the motor vibrations by tomorrow. His
engineer was in today and also said he could hear a nose from some
telecommunications equipment that might be a faulty fan. We have asked
that Telstra investigate to see if there is a noisy fan in that
equipment and asked that it be replaced. They have agreed to do that
over the next few days.
Once Daniel (and team) has completed his work. We hope that solves the
"power surges" problem. If not We have the option to switch off the
building cooling tower fans for a day to see if the feeling is coming
from them. They are not used that much on cold days anyway so impact to
the building will be minimal. It would be helpful if you report any
more occurrences of the power surges after Monday. As by then Sharp
should have finished most of their work at dampening noise. We can then
schedule a day when you are at home to turn off the cooling tower fans.
That will eliminate them as a problem.
If not you may need to engage an engineer to accurately describe or
measure the effect of the "power surges". So we can consult with the
correct engineer. So far we have not had a good explanation of any
evidence of the problem. Never the less we are attempting in good faith
and to at expense to the owners corporation solve the issue.
In regard to George Ziri. George is not our building manager. Our
building manager is William. George is a manager within the BFMS
organization. We have no say who George assigns work to day to day. Our
agreement is with BFMS not George. The correct forum to bring up
problems with BFMS is the AGM. It's not within my power to change
building managers or company's. My roll is simply one to make sure
communication is passed on of which I do diligently.
All your correspondence to me is passed on to the EC. Please let me know
how you get on next week with regard to the power surges. Im happy to
follow it up.
Matt.
