Hi All,
Im not sure if anyone else in the building has Foxtel. But it's very
annoying only having satellite low definition and no access to foxtel
IQ. In another block where I own after a lot of research it was
discovered that you could switch the building from satellite to cable.
This had a two prong effect. Gave residents HD and IQ as well as giving
them access to high speed cable modem if they so desired.

You can upgrade satellite to a two cable system however that is usually
cost prohibitive as new coax need to be ran to every apartment. Where
as if you just convert to cable you just need to connect to the existing
cable and run a new coax in from the street. Also foxtel then need to
come and change all the STU's (set top units)

In Elan the whole process cost around $8k however in our building I
would suspect it would be cheaper. Perhaps around $3~4k Is anyone
interested in me getting a quote. If we dont think it's worth it right
now. Let me know before I do the leg work. I would rather not waste time
on it. If we dont think it's worth the investment.

Matt.
