Tony here from G04/200 William St, Woolloomooloo. SP 67851.

Just wondering have you heard from EC yet regarding a security camera installation or security alarm etc, at my side of the building?
I just came back from overseas a few days ago and found out there were people trying to break into my apartment, as obvious signs of breaking of the metal bar door at the front. ( please refer to the attached photo). I am absolutely shocked and scared to see that,didnt think it would happen after recent removal of my troubled neighbours. I reported the incident to Kings Cross police station Crime Prevention officer and contacted George Ziri regarding the repair of the exterior door.

It would be devastated for all residents in the building if someone were breaking into my apartment, and even worse for me, as I can't produce images or proof of the burglars like any other residents do. Would you please urge the EC to take some actions soon? George Ziri said the wiring of the cable can be really expensive to install a security camera, what about a security alarm or something similar? as there are two households on this side of the building.
Looking forward to your reply and some professional advice, thanks a lot for your time and help about the stressful problem.

It was really nice to see you again at the strata meeting last Tuesday night, hope you enjoyed your week so far.

Tony here from Apartment 4 at 200 William st. Just email you here to confirm that I could receive my strata bills through emails as I travel a lot, so that I could reveive and pay the levy in time in the future. ( Email address:  tonyjiajia at hotmail.com<mailto:tonyjiajia at hotmail.com> )

Also, there is another matter I would like to raise to you. The building is installed a security camera system on each level recently to protect the residents in the building, however my apartment can only access from side street McElhone St, outside the building, so I am the only one who are not benefit from the system. In a very unforunate event of break & steal, I can not produce any video proof of the suspect to the police like any other apartment in the building could.

Just wondering is there a solution to this issue?  as my apartment belongs to the residential part of the building and I contribute to the levy. so can I suggest to further install another security camera or maybe a simple burglar alarm on my side of the building or I can get some reimburshment if I pursure a security system myself? As the security problems raise the concerns of the residents including myself after the "break & steal" accidents last year and also my previous neighbour of drug dealing with constant strangers comming into the building.
