I would personally like to thank Rob Willett and Matt Perkins for not
standing by the decision that was made in Rob's email below (October 1).

During yesterday afternoon, October 5, one of the contractors arrived at
Marquis to deactivate the level 7 west and east doors. However, later in
the afternoon, I heard people up on the roof and went up there to find
people with a case of beer, ready for the evening's activities. When I
phoned George Ziri, I was advise that, under pressure from tenants, Rob and
Matt had decided to reopen level 7! I tried to phone Rob and Matt, to no
avail.

At approximately 6pm, I witnessed from my terrace, a very young boy sitting
precariously close to the railing (in front of the plants) in the early
evening, watching the festivities on the harbour. I immediately yelled up
to him to please get down from the area as I didn't want to risk him
falling. Adults were present beyond the plants and I yelled up to them
that it was this kind of behaviour which was not only dangerous to the young
boy but also that there was potential legal issues, should he fall. They
got him down immediately.

George, would you please look at the video to determine which tenants had
this young boy climb up over the garden bed.

This situation was ridiculous and extremely dangerous. We had no security
and all it needed was for the young boy to fall and then
what?.................. Good one Rob. Good one Matt.

P.S. Thank you also to Rob and Matt for the number of cigarette butts I
collected from my balcony the next morning.

Subject: [200William-EC] Rooftop

Hi All

I met with Dave this afternoon. Not having seen Di's emails re the smashed
table, I am disgusted like all of us.

I sincerely hope you don't mind, but I have asked George this afternoon to
close the rooftop immediately "Closed for urgent maintenance & repairs".
George will deactivate the swipe cards for every one in the building and
install a small sign indication the rooftop is closed.

I feel we now have no choice to change the bi-laws immediately to indicate
access to the rooftop is by pre approved authority only, requiring special
key card access for the time booked and hefty deposits left ( to the tune of
$2000 per access ) or somewhere in this vicinity.

We have no choice. I hope you don't mind me taking this action without your
prior approval but I don't intend to be the victim of a lawsuit. Imagine if
Di had been home!

Maxine, can you please add a new bi-law to be discussed at next week's
meeting. In the meantime, I think the temporary "maintenance and repairs"
will cover us.

Let me know if anyone has a major disagreement.

Thanks

ROB
