Perhaps Maxine can arrange for the financial compensation to be duly processed...?

The carspace is mostly empty, there are a few items neatly stacked in a corner, which will be removed shortly.
I can confirm that works have been completed, and that there will be no more dust in common spaces as a result of the renovation.

The email was simply about caring for our building, not taking advantage of common appliances (electricity) and your responsibility as an EC member.
 
And yes, I think a few dollars toward, let’s say, the sinking fund would be a wonderful idea.  Thank you for the offer.

Craig, 
your aggression is disproportionate and disconcerting.
And your favoured writing approach of extreme hyperbole does little to amplify fact to anyone with a semblance of education.  
 
If you would really like compensation for power use in the basement, I am happy to send you a few dollars, or for you to find alternative method of compensation beside hurtling abusive emails.
The carpets on Level 04  are just fine. Thanks.

I think you may have also missed responding to us all about your contractors using the common property electricity in order to cut materials for your apartment.  Should we blame Jason for that as well?
 
And the lift carpets.  Hmmm.  Perhaps if we’d all received a schedule which was accurate we wouldn’t have had to live with elevators which ended up looking like the garbage room.  It only took someone (me) to get your contractors to put something down on their floors………and also from the front entry way of 401 through to the left doors.  Again………only trying to reduce overall costs and maintain the building.  After all, it appears that ther are only a couple of owners (who live in the building) who continue to keep an eye on as much as possible on a regular basis.

I mentioned to my construction manager that I would replace carpets if they were damaged by the renovation. As agreed, and damage to common area would be repaired by myself, but ultimately the carpet replacement was driven by yourself, midway through renovation. I assumed this was in preparation for the charity function, and nothing to do with the renovation. 
 
re Recycling; I always recycle. I share your belief that we should all recycle. re explanation of yesterdays incident, and the garbage image you attached, I offer below:
Last night we had Annettes cousin (Jason Kwan) over for dinner. Jason has been CC;d to this email.
When Jason left after dinner, Annette handed him 2 bags - General Garbage, and Recycling - and asked him to deposit in the bins, on his way out at Level E. 
Jason is a highly intelligent young man, with all of the moral sensitivities one should expect in an evolved and successful young Eastern Suburbs male, so I am very surprised that the recycling bag ended up in the general waste bin.... Shame on you Jason... Tut-Tut. I don't want to chastise Jason too much, because knowing Jason, as I do, to be a lovely man. I must assume that this was simply a matter of absent-mindedness (unfamiliar setting, perhaps) and nothing to do with any malicious intent toward the Environment. 
 
From now on, I will request that Annette dispense with the practice of having guests remove garbage on their way out. (I find the practice uncouth anyway, and generally against the spirit of Hosting). I should certainly hope that this will avoid any further eco-terrorism. 
As I am sure you must be aware, this would be a first and only transgression of the recycling issue, an anomaly, and I believe it should be viewed in such a context.

Approximately one week ago, I  saw your workers abusing the by-laws by using electricity on level P4 for their electric saws to cut materials, for your apartment renovation.  As a result, dust now covers a lot of the floor area and cars on P4.
 
We replaced the carpets in each of the elevators because your contractors simply wouldn’t put down protective coverings in either lift during your renovations, nor on your level 4 lobby carpets (I had to ask them to put something floor covering down from your apartment to the lifts to try and protect the carpets).  Your contractor Cameron, in fact, advised me that you were going to replace the elevator carpets at the end of your refurbishment.  However, you haven’t even mentioned that to anyone on the EC………..and we have ended up jointly paying for the replacement carpets.
 
There are several of us on the EC who really work hard to try and maintain the building and reduce overall costs.  It might seem strange to you, but as an example, I frequently go down to the garbage room because I am amazed at the number of people who simply don’t care about recycling.  The recycling issue has become such a problem that a month ago another notice was sent out to all tenants/owners to recycle as much as possible (see attached).  I personally put two of these notices up on the garbage room wall.
 
This morning I was simply stunned and extremely disappointed, during one of my regular “recycling visits” to the garbage room, to find a bag filled with empty glass bottles, in one of the “regular” garbage bins.  Your name was on a piece of correspondence (please see attached picture).
 
Shane, we have a responsibility, as members of the EC, to set an example for the owners/tenants of Marquis, to maintain the building and reduce costs, to the best of our abilities.   It seems to me that you simply don’t care anymore about what happens in our building.  Please, either set that example yourself or consider not to serve on the EC anymore.
