[200William-EC] Motion regarding NYE 2013/14

Dear Committee,

Regarding the roof this is not a decision the EC can make.  The EC cannot restrict any resident from using common property.  If you wish to restrict access you would need to create a by-law and it would need to be passed by a Special Resolution at a General Meeting.  The other option is to create a Special Event by-law that stipulates who (if anyone) has access to the rooftop and how that is to be monitored ie tickets for entry.  Also some buildings stipulate in the by-law how many people are allowed entry to each unit according to size.

This is obviously something that needs to be decided on  as an EC if you wish to have a proposed by-law put forward to all owners.
