Hi Craig
Relating to the lift issue I was inundated with ph calls relating to the lift. I also retrieved 16 messages relating to this. Its impossible for me to return the calls. Lifts are back on line within 1hr.

Subject: Re: [200William-EC] Master key
Rob,
I will not be returning the master key.
We do not have anyone on site if there is an emergency to access any of the
floors. Yesterday we had two emergencies.
1. Water poured into my apartment from the plant room for the second time
in three weeks yesterday morning (I note that you haven't even commented on
this problem from my email yesterday). Had I not had a master key, I
wouldn't have been able to access the plant room to see where the problem
was and to contact George.
2. Both elevators (I prefer that term to "lifts") broke down yesterday from
approximately 2:30pm until 7:00pm. One elevator was restored to service in
the early evening. The second elevator is still "OUT". I came home at
approximately 3:00pm yesterday to find tenants/ owners waiting in the "G"
and "E" street lobbies to gain access to their floors. Had I not had a
master key, they would not have been able to access their floor (I opened up
each fire floor door).
Note also, I contacted George Ziri immediately, at his private number and
the emergency number he leaves in his message, about the situation. To
date, I have not had the courtesy of a reply from anyone in George's office
about the elevator situation.
I am a loyal member of the EC, work/live in the building and am not prepared
to follow your instruction. We need someone who lives/works on site, and
who is responsible enough to have a master key............. and that person
is...............me.
The master key will not be returned.
Sincerely,
Craig Laforest

Subject: Master key
Hi Craig,
As the representative of the BMC for 200 William Street, we have become
aware that you are holding a master key.
Unfortunately the master keys are only entitled to be held by the BMC
representative and the building manager, in this case, George Ziri and I.
Members of the EC or individual residents are not entitled to hold a master
key for any building unless expressly approved in advance by the full EC and
then the BMC representatives. I am not aware in this instance that such
approval has been given.
Therefore on behalf of the BMC I ask that you return the master keys to the
building manager, George, at your earliest convenience.
I would appreciate you advising us when George is in receipt of the keys.
We will of course discuss this matter at the next EC meeting in October to
determine the best way to handle this situation going forward.
Many thanks
Rob Willett
