Hi Di and everyone,

I have to say I had a wonderful response from my neighbours. In response to my note under their door I received a card with a written apology and a bottle of wine and chocolates. As I previously mentioned, they were also extremely considerate over last weekend when we had family visiting. I personally don't equate that action with someone who would trash the roof area or your property Di. However, I would think it is critical that we get the video footage.

There is also the possibility which I am sure you have considered that someone has lent their keys to someone who is a non-resident.

Hi George,

I wonder if you have had any luck working out who accessed the roof on Sunday at c.1pm? Although I have reported both matters to the police (the deck and the door being quite separate incidents, the latter being well after 7pm) I think a polite approach to the party group might be best. I would be happy to give them a visit and show them a pic of what the deck looked like. Andrew has had success asking them (if it's the same group) not to make so much noise.

Disregard my last just went down to the garbage and found who ever switched security off at the key had reset it back to the secure position. It's working with a pass only again now as it should
